NOTIFICATION OF DISEASE. Notice shall oe <br /> sent to the health officer immediately by any producer or distribu- <br /> tor of milk or milk products upon whose aairy farm or in whose milk <br /> plant any infectious, contagious or communicaole disease occurs. <br /> Section 15: PROCEL W E 'a+HEN INFECTION SUSPECTED. When <br /> suspicion arises as to the possibility of transmission of infection <br /> from any person concerned with the handling of milk or milk prod- <br /> ucts, the health officer is authorized to require any or all of <br /> the following measures ; (1) The immediate exclusion of that person <br /> from milk handling, (2) The immediate exclusion of the milk supply <br /> concerned from distribution and use, (3) Adequate medical and <br /> bacteriological examination of the person, of his associates and <br /> of his and their body discharges. <br /> Section 16. ICE C1LAT',' - DEFINITION AND STANDARD CuN'PENT. <br /> The term "ice cream" shall be held and construed, to mean and include <br /> frozen products made from the combination of milk fat, milk solids <br /> it and sugars with or without harmless coloring ana flavor matter <br /> { and pure wholesome fruits, and with or without the addition of pure <br /> geletin or vegetable gums. <br /> { <br /> { It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association or <br /> corporation to sell or offer for sale any products known as ice cream <br /> as hereinabove described within the city limits of the City of <br /> Everett which shall contain less than ten per cent of milk fats, <br /> and which shall contain not less than ten (10 0) per cent of milk <br /> fats and not less than twenty (2O, ) per cent milk fats and milk soli <br /> other than milk fats, combined. <br /> Section 17. ENFORCEMENT INTE RPRETATIuN. This ordinance <br /> shall be enforced by the health officer in accordance with the <br /> interpretations thereof contained in the 1939 edition of the United f <br /> States Public Health Service Milk Ordinance and Code, pages 21 to <br /> 136 thereof, as shown in three copies of the publication on file in <br /> the Clerk' s office of the City of Everett under Clerk' s file No. N, . <br /> 1 Section 18. PENALTY. Any person failing to comply with <br /> i or violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished4 <br /> by a fine in a sum not exceeding Three Hundred (y�300.00) Dollars or <br /> by imprisonment in the City Jail for a term not exceeding ninety <br /> (90) days, or by both such fine ana imprisonment. <br /> Section 19. REPEAL. That Ordinance No. 2440, entitled: <br /> "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the production, sale; <br /> 1 and distribution of milk and milk products in the City of <br /> Everett; providing for the inspection of all equipment used in <br /> handling the same and of all premises where the same is pro- <br /> duced, prepared or sold; providing penalties for the violation <br /> thereof and repealing Ordinance No. 1642 and all ordinances and <br /> parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.
