<br />1. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL NECESSARY PERMITS
<br />FROM AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION AND PAY ALL ASSOCIATED FEES.
<br />2. LOCATE JUNCTION AND PULL BOXES AS REQUIRED TO ALLOW ACCESS AFTER
<br />EQUIPMENT AND APPURTENANCES ARE INSTALLED. COORDINATE EXACT

<br />EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS STORED ON FLOORS, AND IN AREAS WHERE
<br />CONSTRUCTION MAY DAMAGE FINISHES. SURFACES OR FINISHES DAMAGED
<br />DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF THE
<br />CONTRACTOR AT FAULT.
<br />4. CONTRACTORS SHALL COORDINATE LOCATIONS OF FIXTURES AND
<br />ELECTRICAL DEVICES INSTALLED IN OR ON THE CEILING WITH
<br />ARCHITECTURAL REFLECTED CEILING PLAN. CEILING MOUNTED ELECTRICAL
<br />DEVICES SHALL BE MOUNTED IN THE CENTER OF THE CEILING TILES, UNLESS
<br />OTHERWISE NOTED,
<br />5. WHERE DIRECTED TO USE OR RETAIN EXISTING CIRCUITS, AND THE CIRCUIT
<br />NUMBERS DIFFER FROM THE DRAWING, UPDATE DIRECTORIES AND RECORD
<br />DRAWINGS.
<br />6. PROPERLY SUPPORT PER CODE LOW VOLTAGE CABLING NOT IN CONDUIT. IN
<br />AREAS SUCH AS CORRIDORS DESIGNATED FOR NEW CEILINGS AND FINISHES,
<br />SUPPORT EXISTING ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT IN AND ABOVE
<br />THE CEILING, INCLUDING CONDUIT AND CABLING. PROVIDE PROPER
<br />PERMANENT SUPPORT AS NEEDED TO COMPLY WITH CODE AND TAKE
<br />WEIGHT OFF CEILING SUPPORTS. REMOVE AND REINSTALL ELECTRICAL
<br />DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT AS NEEDED FOR PAINTING, WALL COVERINGS,
<br />CEILINGS, AND FINISH WORK, REFER TO ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS, LOW
<br />VOLTAGE CABLING LOCATED IN EXPOSED STRUCTURE (CEILING) AREAS
<br />SHALL BE INSTALLED IN CONDUIT (OR CABLE TRAY, IF APPLICABLE) AND
<br />ROUTED TIGHT TO DECK. INSTALLATIONS NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS
<br />REQUIREMENT SHALL BE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED AT CONTRACTOR'S
<br />EXPENSE,
<br />7. WHERE PROJECT PHASING IS INDICATED IN ANY PART OF THE WORKING
<br />DOCUMENT PACKAGE, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR IS TO PLAN WORK SO AS
<br />TO FACILITATE SUCH PHASING.
<br />8. FOR BRANCH CIRCUITS OVER 75' (25 METERS) IN LENGTH (TOTAL ONE WAY)
<br />FROM THE PANEL, THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL CALCULATE THE
<br />VOLTAGE DROP AND PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE CONDUCTOR SIZE TO
<br />ACHIEVE NO MORE THAN 3% MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE VOLTAGE DROP,
<br />9. DO NOT SCALE THE DRAWINGS. BECAUSE OF THE SCALE OF THE DRAWINGS,
<br />IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO INDICATE ALL OFFSETS, FITTINGS OR OTHER SIMILAR
<br />ITEMS WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED TO MAKE A COMPLETE OPERATING SYSTEM.
<br />CAREFULLY INVESTIGATE CONDITIONS AFFECTING WORK AND INSTALL WORK
<br />IN SUCH MANNER THAT INTERFERENCES BETWEEN PIPES, CONDUITS, DUCTS,
<br />EQUIPMENT, ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL FEATURES SHALL BE
<br />AVOIDED.
<br />1. ANY EXISTING WIRING SERVING DEVICES TO REMAIN IN SERVICE, AND WHICH
<br />IS INTERRUPTED BY WORK PERFORMED UNDER THIS CONTRACT, SHALL BE
<br />REROUTED TO MAINTAIN CIRCUIT CONTINUITY. CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME
<br />THE RISK OF MAINTAINING EXISTING SYSTEMS EXCEPT RELOCATION OF
<br />WIRING OF #2 AWG AND ABOVE SHALL BE CONSIDERED AN ADDITIONAL COST
<br />IF NOT SHOWN TO BE RELOCATED IF SUCH WIRING IS FOUND THE
<br />CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER OF WIRING LOCATION, REASON IT
<br />MUST BE REMOVED AND COST OF RELOCATION AND RECEIVE THE OWNER'S
<br />APPROVAL BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK,
<br />PRIOR TO COMMENCING WITH DEMOLITION, IDENTIFY ALL POWER, LIGHTING,
<br />COMMUNICATION, AND SIGNAL CIRCUITS PASSING THROUGH THE
<br />DEMOLITION AREA OR EXTENDING BEYOND THE DEMOLITION AREA.
<br />COORDINATE WITH DEMOLITION WORK OF OTHER TRADES.
<br />2. THE EXISTING BUILDING MUST BE KEPT IN OPERATION AT ALL TIMES.
<br />MAINTAIN ELECTRICAL SERVICES AND SYSTEMS AT ALL TIMES TO AREAS
<br />BEYOND THE CONSTRUCTION AREA AND MAINTAIN CONTINUITY OF FIRE
<br />ALARM, LIFE SAFETY AND SECURITY SYSTEMS TO ALL OCCUPIED AREAS OF
<br />THE BUILDING THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD. PROVIDE
<br />TEMPORARY WIRING AND BRANCH CIRCUITING AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN
<br />OPERATION OF EXISTING CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS EXTENDING BEYOND
<br />REMODEL AREA, ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DISRUPTION TO
<br />EXISTING SERVICES, RECONNECT ANY SERVICES WHICH ARE TO REMAIN,
<br />AND WHICH HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED DURING DEMOLITION OR
<br />CONSTRUCTION. ARRANGE WORK IN SUCH A MANNER THAT INTERRUPTIONS
<br />IN SERVICES OCCUR ONLY AT PRE -SCHEDULED TIMES. CARRY OUT THE
<br />WORK WITH A MINIMUM OF NOISE, DUST AND DISTURBANCE.
<br />3. PERMANENTLY REMOVE ABANDONED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, LIGHTING
<br />FIXTURES, ELECTRICAL DEVICES, POWER AND SIGNALLING WIRING DEVICES
<br />AND ASSOCIATED WIRE, RACEWAYS, AND/OR JUNCTION BOXES, THE
<br />REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF EXISTING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
<br />PRESENTLY CONCEALED IN EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
<br />COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER PRIOR TO REMOVAL OR RELOCATION,
<br />RACEWAYS AND CONDUCTORS SHALL BE REMOVED BACK TO THE SOURCE
<br />OR NEAREST REMAINING JUNCTION BOX OR DEVICE AS FAR AS PRACTICAL,
<br />OR WHERE COMPLETE REMOVAL NOT PRACTICAL, RENDERED PERMANENTLY
<br />SAFE.
<br />4. ANY EXISTING SYSTEM OUTAGES SHALL BE OF MINIMUM DURATION AND AT A
<br />TIME ACCEPTABLE TO THE OWNER, ARRANGED A MINIMUM OF 10 WORKING
<br />DAYS IN ADVANCE. LONGER NOTICES AND/OR ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS
<br />PERTAINING TO OUTAGES MAY BE REQUIRED IN SOME INSTANCES, AS PER
<br />SPECIFICATIONS. VERIFY PROTOCOL WITH ALL PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS
<br />INCLUDING OWNER, TENANT, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AND/OR USER
<br />GROUP(S) AS APPLICABLE.
<br />5. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, AND/OR DEVICES SCHEDULED TO
<br />REMAIN OR TO BE RELOCATED THAT ARE DAMAGED DURING DEMOLITION
<br />SHALL BE REPLACED WITH SIMILAR TYPE AS APPROVED BY THE OWNER, AT
<br />NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE TO THE OWNER.
<br />6. IN THE EVENT THAT DEMOLITION WORK AFFECTS THE STRUCTURAL
<br />SUPPORT OF EXISTING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT THAT IS TO REMAIN IN
<br />SERVICE, IT SHALL BE RE -SUPPORTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL
<br />APPLICABLE CODES. PROVIDE TEMPORARY SUPPORTS WHERE REQUIRED.
<br />7, UNUSED FLUSH MOUNTED DEVICES, OUTLET AND OTHER BOXES IN FINISHED
<br />AREAS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM WALL AND THE REMAINING HOLE PATCHED
<br />TO MATCH ADJACENT WALL SURFACES. UNUSED RACEWAYS AND SLEEVES
<br />SHALL BE CUT FLUSH AT CEILING, FLOOR OR WALL AND FILLED WITH GROUT
<br />OR REQUIRED FIRE SEALANT, UNUSED RACEWAYS ABOVE ACCESSIBLE
<br />CEILINGS SHALL BE REMOVED.
<br />8. ELECTRICAL MATERIAL SCHEDULED FOR REMOVAL IS TO BE REMOVED FROM
<br />THE SITE AND PROPERLY DISPOSED OF AS PART OF THIS CONTRACT. ANY
<br />ELECTRICAL MATERIAL THE OWNER WISHES TO RETAIN TO BECOME THE
<br />PROPERTY OF THE OWNER AND TO BE REMOVED AND PLACED AT A
<br />LOCATION ON THE SITE AS DIRECTED BY THE OWNER,
<br />9. THE DEMOLITION DRAWINGS SHOW THE GENERAL SCOPE OF THE
<br />DEMOLITION AND NOT EXACT DETAILS OR TOTAL EXTENT. FOR EXACT
<br />DETAILS AND TOTAL EXTENT, EACH SERVICE MUST BE CAREFULLY CHECKED
<br />ON SITE. BEFORE REMOVING SERVICES FOLLOW THE SERVICE THROUGH TO
