However,the submitted documents are not sufficient <br /> for us to perform a review at this time. Revised construction-level documents need to be submitted for <br /> review. Preliminary comments are provided below to assist in revising the drawings, but these are not <br /> intended to provide a comprehensive review. Depending on your experience with the model codes and <br /> preparing documents,we recommend consulting with a design professional to assist you. <br /> 1. The proposed project involves converting a single-family residence into an adult family home. See the <br /> following link for the required forms and documents: <br /> https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/108/Adult-family-home-checklist-PDF <br /> 2. Lower Level Plan 1/A2.3 indicates that Bedroom A is existing. However, this bedroom was not included <br /> in the original construction drawings under Permit C1010-010. The following comments should be <br /> addressed: <br /> a. The drawings should be revised to show this as a new room. Details should be provided for the <br /> walls added to enclose the room. <br /> b. An additional smoke detector is required immediately outside this room. <br /> c. The bedroom shares a wall with the garage. The thickness of the GWB on the garage side <br /> should be stated on the drawings. <br /> 3. The grab bars should be provided with blocking in the walls to support the loads. A detail should be <br /> provided. <br /> 4. The watercloset room in the Top Level Plan 4/A2.3, next to Bedroom D, does not appear to have <br /> sufficient clearance between the grab bars and the wall. The minimum clearance should be 1.5". The <br /> width of the room should be stated and the clearance specified for all grab bars. <br /> Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been <br /> submitted.
