• • DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS Section 13: CITY ENGINEER DEPARTT+ENT. There shall be the following named officers , deputies, assist- ants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, to-wit : One City Engineer (pert time )-; One Senior Engineer ; One Associate Engineer; rive Junior Engineers; Seven Senior Engineer- ing Aides ; Three Engineering Aides; Two Apprentice Senior Engineer- ing Aides ; One Stenogra her; One or more Inspectors (part time ) . Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties indicated by the name of their respective employment and such other duties s the City Engineer shall, from time to time , author- ize and direct . Section 19 : IFSPECTIOI\T DFPARTITENT. There shall be the following named officers and employees in the Inspection Department , to-wit: One Building Inspector ; One Electrical Inspector ; One Plumbing Inspector, and One Office Helper (part time ) . It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to perform the duties relating to such offices as defined br the ordinances of such City, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public Works shall authorize and. direct. Section 20: STiFET DEPARTILENT. There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the Street Department, to-wit: One Superintendent ; One Clerk; One Auto Repairman; One Auto Repairman' s .ielper; Four Foremen; Nine True:: Drivers; One Crusherman; une Donkeyrnan; One Bulldozer Operator; Two Gradermen; One Yardman; One Night Wetchman; One Dumpman; Three Push-up men; Nine Utility Laborers; One Relief Cleat tie or more Day Laborers. Said officers , assistants and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respect- ive employments, and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of lublic Works shall , from ti ,e to time, aut ,orte and direct. Section 21: WATER DEPARTEEITT. There shall be the following named officers, assistants and employees in the Water Department of the City of Everett, to-wit: One Superintendent (part time ) ; One Assistant Superintendent ; One General i''oreman; One Distribution System Foreman; One Chief Clerk; One Tnventory Clerk; One Accountant ; Four later Control Station Operators; One headworks Operator; Two Senior Engineering Aides; One or more Foremen; One Welder; One Blacksmith; One Blacksmith' s helper; One Inspector; One Assistant Inspector; One or more Heavy Equipment Oper- tors; One or more Truck Drivers; - 5 -
