I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> Assistants and inspectors may advise the Contractor of any faulty work or materials or <br /> infringements of the terms of the Contract; however, failure of the City's Representative or <br /> the assistants or inspectors to advise the Contractor does not constitute acceptance or <br /> approval. <br /> 1-05.3 Working Drawings <br /> Revise the second paragraph to read as follows: <br /> 1. Type 1 — Submitted for City information. Submittal must be received by the City a <br /> minimum of 7 working days before Work represented by the submittal begins. <br /> 2. Type 2 — Submitted for City review and comment. Unless otherwise stated in the <br /> Contract, the Engineer will require up to 15 working days from the date the Working <br /> Drawing is received until it is returned to the Contractor.The Contractor shall not proceed <br /> with the Work represented by the Working Drawing until comments from the Engineer <br /> have been addressed. <br /> 3. Type 2E—Same as a Type 2 Working Drawing with Engineering as described below. <br /> 4. Type 3 — Submitted for City review and approval. Unless otherwise stated in the <br /> Contract, the Engineer will require up to 20 working days from the date the Working <br /> Drawing is received until it is returned to the Contractor. The Contractor shall obtain the <br /> Engineer's written approval before proceeding with the Work represented by the <br /> Working Drawing. <br /> 5. Type 3E—Same as a Type 3 Working Drawing with Engineering as described below. <br /> Supplement 1-05.3 as follows: <br /> The Contract Documents include Plans that show such details as are reasonably <br /> necessary to give a comprehensive understanding of the Work. The Contractor shall <br /> submit alterations affecting the requirements and information in the Plans in writing to <br /> the Engineer for approval prior to performing such Work. <br /> The Engineer may supplement the Plans with additional drawings and explanations, <br /> consistent with the purpose and intent of the original Plans, to detail and illustrate the <br /> Work. The Contractor shall perform the Work according to these supplemental drawings <br /> and explanations. <br /> In addition to supplemental drawings furnished by the Engineer,the Contract Documents <br /> may also be supplemented by Type 1, Type 2 or 2E, and Type 3 or 3E Working Drawings <br /> prepared by the Contractor, material supplier, or manufacturer, when necessary or as <br /> required by the Contract Documents to detail and illustrate portions of the Work. All <br /> types of Working Drawings shall be reviewed by the Engineer before work pursuant to <br /> those Working Drawings is performed. Type 3 and 3E Working Drawings may include, <br /> and not be limited to, shop details, erection plans, masonry lay-out diagrams, reinforcing <br /> steel and bending diagrams, post tensioning plans, shoring, cribbing, cofferdam, or <br /> falsework plans, formwork plans, or hydraulic items. Type 2 and 2E Working Drawings <br /> may include, and not be limited to, Catalog cuts or standard plans for commonly used <br /> manufactured items. <br /> The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of dimensions and details on <br /> Working Drawings, and for complete conformity with the Contract Documents, even if <br /> the Working Drawings have been approved by the Engineer, or if the Contractor and the <br /> Engineer agree on dimensions and details. The City does not accept Working Drawings <br /> as accurate or adequate, and does not take responsibility for, or warrant that Working <br /> Drawings will meet Contract requirements. <br /> Engineer's review of Working Drawings shall not relieve Contractor from responsibility <br /> for variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents unless Contractor has in <br /> writing called the Engineer's attention to each such variation at the time of submission, <br /> Water Main Replacement"W" Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS April,2022 <br /> WO No.—UP3766 SP—59 <br />
