This request is approved and can be accommodated by way of a R/W Use Permit. Sabrina has been notified of this variance approval option and she and Benyam can process the R/W Use Permit for you. Please ensure that the final ramp and frontage improvement plans include the following elements: • Provide an 8' clear width pedestrian access route meeting ADA in the Public R/W(PROWAG) requirements, between the street curb and the ramp system • Provide a full length Guardrail/pedestrian barrier along the grade break; it must be cane detectable in conformance with ADA in the Public R/W(PROWAG) requirements • Recommend that you provide either provide handrail along your 5% ramps down to your entrance grade, or reduce your design grade to 4.5%to allow for construction tolerance to be sure the final ramp as-built does not exceed 5%(1:20).
