ORDINANCE NO. <br />EVERETT <br />WASHINGTON <br />An ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled "Lowell Riverfront Park Renovation" <br />Fund 354, Program 080 to accumulate project costs. <br />WHEREAS, <br />A. The City Council recognizes the need to maintain and improve City Park amenities. <br />B. The City Council recognizes the value and need to maintain park amenities along the Snohomish <br />River, providing water and nature views to Everett residents and visitors. <br />C. The City Council recognizes that the existing trail and surrounding amenities are in need of <br />renovation, and this corridor serves as a vital connection between several neighborhoods. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. A special improvement project fund is hereby entitled "Lowell Riverfront Park <br />Renovation" project, Fund 354, Program 080. <br />Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Department Director under <br />the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all <br />necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. The estimated cost to repair and resurface the trail is $250,000. <br />Section 4. The sum of $250,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 080, "Lowell <br />Riverfront Park Renovation" project. <br />A.
