In 2023, staff project $450,000 available for funding to address all annual needs established. Project summary statement: Managed by the City's Community Development Division, Human Needs Funds are general fund dollars that directly support the city's most vulnerable residents through grant awards to community partners. Human Needs funds run a Program Year that is consistent with the City's fiscal year, January 1— December 31. Annual Priorities and Award Recommendations are established through a public hearing held by the Citizen Advisory Committee and enacted through City Council action in the form of a Resolution. On August 16, 2022, the Citizen Advisory Committee held a public hearing and established priority needs for the 2023 Program Year. A council briefing is scheduled for September 21, 2022. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Approve Resolution concerning 2023 Human Needs Priorities on September 28, 2022.
