Cindy Bergsma
From: Cindy Bergsma
Sent: Friday,July 22, 2022 6:48 AM
To: laura@glimmercroft.com
Subject: W2002-010 4202 TERRACE DR
Follow Up Flag: Follow up
Flag Status: Flagged
Hello Laura,
I researched the file and found that you do need a building permit. We will need (2) sets of plans and a building permit
application. On the plans it needs to show what was removed.
You will need sub permits for electrical for capping the 220 wire and any other electrical work done, a plumbing permit
for the sink that was taken out and any other fixtures. Please see below for hyperlinks to guide you.
The plans need to clearly depict the extent of the work proposed (or completed without permits) as well as address the
code deficiencies found within the structure. Regardless of whether the decision is to remove or keep the un-permitted
work, the construction plans need to show(at a minimum):
1. What the existing structure looked like prior to the alterations completed without permits.
2. What the structure's current condition looks like.
3. What has been altered and how it meets current code requirements. Include all un-permitted alterations to the
property/structure and/or any proposed construction necessary to bring the property/structure into code compliance.
Plans also need to reflect compliance with the Land Use and Zoning requirements in the Everett Municipal Code. The
plans will be reviewed for compliance with the City's adopted codes in place at the time of permit submittal, not the
codes in place when the work occurred.
All unapproved work(including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and framing systems etc.) installed/altered without
permits and inspection approval will need to be exposed.
The submittal would need to be dropped off at 3200 Cedar St, 2nd floor or mailed in. Building hours are 7:30am—
4pm. There is a submittal bin at top of stairs.
RESIDENTIAL CHECKLIST
https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/117/Residential-construction-submittal-checklist-PDF
BUILDING PERMIT APP
https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/27476
Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical applications can be found online on our online Permitting Portal:
https://pw.everettwa.gov
i
