Runoff <br /> from this residential and commercial area flows to an existing detention facility and then is discharged to Pigeon Creek <br /> Tributary Number 1.The RECIPIENT will retrofit the existing facility by installing an Emerging Stormwater Treatment <br /> Technologies General Use Level Designation(TAPE GULD)pretreatment device and wetland plantings within the pond <br /> to improve this facility to achieve improved treatment. Total contributing area is approximately 13.1 acres. The <br /> RECIPIENT has an existing easement for inspection and maintenance of this facility. <br /> Site PC1-4:This site is a RECIPIENT owned lot at the southwest corner of the West Mukilteo Boulevard and Elm <br /> Street intersection. The drainage area that flows to this site is residential and commercial land that discharges directly <br /> into Pigeon Creek Tributary Number 1 without any treatment. The RECIPIENT will install a TAPE GULD pretreatment <br /> device to treat this runoff in a vacant portion of the lot. Total contributing area is approximately 1.1 acres. <br /> Site GW-2:This site is on the north side of Mukilteo Boulevard in Harborview Park. The RECIPIENT will install a <br /> bioretention facility or similar low impact development alternative to treat residential runoff that flows to Glenwood <br /> Creek from south of Mukilteo Boulevard. This facility will preserve the park's current scenery and provide <br /> opportunities for water quality education. Total contributing area is approximately 7.8 acres. <br /> Site EW-1 :This site is at the south side of Sound Avenue,midway between 56th Street SW and the Sound Avenue <br /> dead-end. The RECIPIENT will convert two ponds into a two-cell wet ponds to improve treatment and storage <br /> capacity.These retrofitted facilities will treat runoff from Second Avenue,residential,and commercial areas that flows <br /> into Edgewater Creek. Edgewater Creek currently flows through existing ponds. The RECIPIENT will not modify the <br /> inlet and outlet of the creek through the pond and will not modify the overall footprint of the pond. The RECIPIENT <br /> will work within the existing footprint to install a berm and wetland plantings to the west of the creek inlet. Total <br /> contributing area is approximately 2.1 acres. The RECIPIENT owns the lot with the pond to the north and has an <br /> existing easement for inspection and maintenance of the pond to the south. <br /> Overall Goal: <br /> This project will help protect and restore water quality in Washington state by reducing stormwater impacts from <br /> existing infrastructure and development. <br /> Template Version 12/10/2020 <br />
