October 12, 2022 <br />1 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br />October 12, 2022, President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, <br />Rhyne, Schwab, Vogeli, Zarlingo, Tuohy and Stonecipher were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Zarlingo acknowledged the original <br />inhabitants of this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip <br />Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the October 5, 2022, City Council meeting were approved as <br />printed. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin acknowledged that Monday was Indigenous Peoples’ Day. She also <br />stated she met with Providence Hospital leadership earlier today. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin read a proclamation declaring October 9-15, 2022, as Emergency <br />Nurses Week. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council administrator Angela Ely stated Council received one (1) written comment <br />from Luis Burbano and eight (8) member of the public who wished to speak: <br /> <br />• Kelli Johnson spoke about nurse staffing at Providence. <br />• Mary Rollins and Lois Wentink spoke about Districts. <br />• Duane Dow, Dawn Nolan, Jan Moisanen, Keith Jacobson, and Steve Oss, <br />spoke about Everett Transit. <br /> <br />
