ENGROSSED SUBSTITUTE SENATE BILL 5693 <br /> Chapter 297, Laws of 2022 <br /> 67th Legislature <br /> 2022 Regular Session <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL OPERATING BUDGET <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE: March 31,2022 <br /> Sec. 310.2021 c 334 s 310(uncodified) is amended to read as follows: <br /> FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br /> (25)$100,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal year 2022 and $150,000 <br /> of the general fund---state appropriation for fiscal year 2023 are provided solely for <br /> the department to grant to local law enforcement agencies to assist in enforcing <br /> vessel registration laws. Funding is also provided for a pilot recycling project with a <br /> nonprofit maritime education center that has the capacity to coordinate with a local <br /> port and local businesses that can accommodate vessel waste material. <br /> B.2.0 Grant budget <br /> This Agreement is for$50,000.00,with $5,000 being held until delivery of all grant deliverables <br /> at the end of the Agreement period,June 30,2023. <br /> Invoices can only be submitted for completed work or purchases already made and have to be in <br /> direct support for time and equipment needed to enforce vessel registration and laws related to <br /> aquatic lands as related to the derelict vessel program. <br /> Invoices can be submitted by email to ADR cadnr.wa.gov or mailed to or dropped off at 1111 <br /> Washington St SE MS 47027 Olympia, WA 98504-7027. <br /> B.3.0 Budget Details: <br /> Cooperator estimates: <br /> Investigative Equipment-$10,000 <br /> Costs associated with removal of derelict boats-$1 5,000 <br /> Staff time for extra enforcement patrols, investigation,and removal of derelict boats-$25,000 <br /> The above listed budget is an estimate.The COOPERATOR may need to be reprogrammed <br /> based off determination of effectiveness of each section and unforeseen events so long as the <br /> total does not exceed the budget total described above.
