0 110
Drew Martin
From: Drew Martin
Sent: Friday, September 17, 2021 4:37 PM
To: msanp@comcast.net
Subject: City of Everett Permit Services: 2207 Gibson Place (B2109-031) - First Building Intake
Review
Hello, Mr. Palacios.
Your application has been received and a permit set up. However, the submitted documents are not
sufficiently developed for us to perform a comprehensive review at this time. The Planning Department has
also determined that additional information is required; they will issue a comment letter separately.
Revised construction-level documents should be submitted for review. Two complete sets of the revised
drawings should be submitted to replace the previously submitted drawing sets. Preliminary comments are
provided below to assist in revising the drawings, but these are not intended to provide a comprehensive
review. The resubmittal documents should include an itemized response letter clarifying how the review
comments below have been addressed.
Review Comments:
1. The construction drawings did not include a site plan. See comments issued separately by the Planning
Department. These are also required to complete the Building review.
2. The plans do not appear to include architectural information, including but not limited to roofing
requirements and siding. It is unclear if additional drawings should have been submitted, or if the
structural drawings constitute the entire drawing set. Additional architectural drawings or revisions to
the structural drawings are required to specified non-structural requirements. See additional
comments below.
3. The submitted plans do not include dimensional information for the overall building size, wall lengths,
structural height, etc. The plans should be revised.
4. Details should be provided clarifying if the interior of the structure is intended to include GWB
sheathing.
5. Continuing with the previous comment, an attic access hatch and roof ventilation are required if the
ceiling is sheathed to conceal the roof framing.
Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been
submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
Drew Martin, P.E.,S.E.
LiAssociate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M/W/T: 8 am - 12 pm & 1 pm—3 pm;Tu: 1:00pm-3:00pm
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
1
