• ORDINANCE No. 3049. AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number of the various officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett ; prescribing the duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and employees ; fixing their salaries; repaaling Ordinance No. 3022 of the amity of Everett, and providing that this Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1946 . TITh CITY OF EVTERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That beginning January 1, 1946, and on and after said date , the various officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett, in addition to those pro- vided for in the Charter of the City of Everett , shall be as in this Ordinance provided . Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DEPJR'IYENT. There shall be in the office of the City Attorney an Assistant City ittorney, a stenographer and a relief steno- grapher (part time) . Said Assistant City Attorney and said stenographers shall perform such duties as the City Attorney may authorize and direct . Section 3: CITY HALL DEPARTMENT. There shall be in the City Hall Department one janitor and one assistant janitor. Said janitor and said assistant janitor shall perform the janitor work in connection with the City Hall. Section 4: LIBRARY DEPA.RTYENT. There shall be in the Library Department the follow- ing named officers, assistants and employees, to-wit: One Librarian; One Children's Librarian; One Reference and School Librarian; One Circulation and Stations Librarian; One Reference Librarian; Two Clerks; One Juvenile Clerk, (part time) ; One or more cataloguers, (part time ) ; One or more office assistants, substitutes and typists ; One or more Clerks, (part time ) ; One or more pages, shelvers, renders, etc. , (part time ) . The Librarian shall be in general charge and shall have supervision of the Library Department . The other officers, assistants end employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and es authorized and directed by the Librarian.
