ORDINANCE No. 3043 . AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the sale , repai , installation, maintenance , use and operation of oil burners, oil burning equipment, oil burning kitchen ranges, and oil burnin floor furnaces, defining terms, providing for the sale , repair, inspection, approval and installation of the same and fees in connection therewith; defining certain misdemeanors in relation thereto; providing penalties for the violation thereof; repealing Ordinance No. 2719 of the City of Everett and all other ordinance - and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Wherever used in this ordinance in referring to oil burners and/or oil burning equipment , the follow ing words and expressions are used in the sense defined in this section: GRAVITY OIL BURNER: An oil burner to which oil fuel is delivered from a gravity tank. GRAVITY OIL TANK: An oil storage or supply tank from which oil is delivered to an oil burner by means of gravity flow, provided this definition shall not apply to en oil reservoir which is elsewhere defined. OIL BURNER: Any device designed, arranged or used to burn oil fuel . OIL BURNING E'?UIPMENT: All equipment connected to an oil burner, including tanks, piping, pumps , burners, oil burning stoves , electric wiring and other accessories thereto. OIL BURNING STOVE: A. self-contained stove or heater designed by the manufacturer to burn oil fuel and in which the combustion chamber and oil burner are constructed as an integral part. OIL BURNING- FLOOR FURNACE: A pipeless oil burning circulating heater suspended from the floor, and designed by the manufacturer to burn oil fuel and in which the combustion chamber and oil burner are constructed as an integral part. OIL FUEL: Any liquid used as fuel and having a flash point not lower than 120 degrees Fahrenheit . OIL RESERVOIR: A container for fuel attached directly to an oil burner stove as an integral part thereof.
