Section 17: It shall be the duty of every person, firm or corporation selling oil burners of any type or make for use within the City of Everett to furnish the Fire Chief of the City of Everett the name and address of each purchaser of said oil burner within Forty-eight (48) hours after sale or delivery of said oil burner or oil burning; equipment . Section 18: No gravity oil tank shall have an oil capacity in excess of Two Hundred Fifty (250 ) gallons when in- stalled as an integral part of a gravity supply tank system. Section 19: Iny person feeling aggrieved by the refusal of the Fire Chief to issue a Certificate of Approval, Installation Permit or Certificate of Inspection when applied for, as hereinbefore provided, may within Seven (7 ) days from the time of such refusal , appeal from such decision of the Fire Chief to the City Council of the City of Everett. The said City Council shall thereupon investigate, and by notice confirm or reverse the action of the Fire Chief in said matter, which said action of the City Council shall be final and binding upon all parties concerned. Section 20 : 1,ny person violating any provision of this ordinance, either in selling, repairing, installing, main- taining, using, or operating an oil burner and/or oil burning equipment , shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con- viction thereof shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars ( >10.00) , nor more than i'hree hundred Dollars (4,300 .00) , for each and every violation thereof, and upon failure to pay same shall be imprisoned in the City Jail one day for every Three Dollars ( 3.00) of such fine . Section 21: Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason the remainder of said Ordinance shall not be affected thereb7. 'section 22: It shall be th= duty of any repairman or installation man called upon to repair or install any used oil burning equipment , to examine the entire installation, including the storage or supply tanks, piping, valves, smokepipe , wiring and all other parts of said installation, and make all necessary repairs to bring said installation up to the specifica- tions as set forth in this Ordinance . In the event that the owner or agent of the property or the persons using such equipment refuses to make such repairs, it shall be the duty of said repair or installation man to notify the Fire Chief, in writing, within Twenty-four (24) hours, the name and address of the owner, agent or person using this equipment . Said notice to the Fire Uhief of the City of Everett shall contain a list of the defects noted. -13-
