Section 15: FEES AND EXPIRATION OF CE TIF ICATES: <br /> (a ) No certificate of approval , as provided for in <br /> Section 2 of this ordinance , shall be issued by the Fire Chief <br /> until the applicant therefor shall first pay as fees to the City <br /> Treasurer of the City of Everett the sum of Twenty-five Dollars <br /> (425.00) for the first year certificate, and Ten Dollars ( 10.00 ) <br /> for each consecutive year thereafter; PROVIDED, all certificates <br /> issued under this Ordinance shall expire on the 31st day of <br /> December of the year issued; AND PROVIDED FURT R, that no person, <br /> firm or corporation engaged in selling oil burners and equipment <br /> in the City of Everett shall be required to pay more than Twenty- <br /> five Dollars (025.00 ) in any year for each place of business <br /> maintained by such person, firm or corporation for the sale of <br /> oil burners or equipment . <br /> (b ) No installation permit , as provided for in <br /> Section 3 of this Ordinance, shall be issued by the Fire Chief <br /> of the City of Everett until applicant therefor shall first pay <br /> as a fee to the City Treasurer of the City of Everett Twenty- <br /> five Dollars ( 25.00 ) for the; first year 's certificate and Ten <br /> Dollars („410 .00) for each consecutive year thereafter. <br /> (c ) No certificate of inspection, as provided for in <br /> Section 3A of this Ordinance , shall be issued by the Fire <br /> Chief of the City of Everett, until the applicant therefor <br /> shall pay to the City Treasurer of the City of Everett the sum <br /> of One Dollar (: 1.00 ) . <br /> (d) All persons, firms or corporations holding a <br /> Certificate of Approval under the provisions of Ordinance No. <br /> 2719 shall not be required to secure a new Certificate of Approval <br /> until January 1 , 1946 . <br /> (e ) All persons, firms or corporation who have <br /> previously held a Certificate of Approval under the provisions <br /> of Ordinance No. 2719 shall be required to pay not more than <br /> Ten Dollars (410.00) for a Certificate of Approval for each con- <br /> secutive year commencing as of January 1, 1946. <br /> (f) A11 persons , firms or corporation making applica- <br /> tion for an Installation Permit or Certificate of Approval prior <br /> to December 31, 1945, shall be required to pay a sum equal to <br /> one-half of the fee required for the full year. <br /> Section 16: Wherever reference is made to authority <br /> by terra "Fire Chief" or "Chief of Fire Department , " it is the <br /> intent of this Ordinance to mean "Fire Chief of the City of <br /> Everett , or his duly authorized assistants. " <br /> (a ) The Fire Chief, or his duly authorized agents <br /> or assistants, shall have the right to enter upon the premises in <br /> which an oil burner has been, or is being installed at all reason- <br /> able hours to ascertain whether the provisions of this or any <br /> other ordinance in regard to oil burners and/or oil burning equip <br /> ment, have been complied with. <br /> -12- <br />
