Section 15: FEES AND EXPIRATION OF CE TIF ICATES: (a ) No certificate of approval , as provided for in Section 2 of this ordinance , shall be issued by the Fire Chief until the applicant therefor shall first pay as fees to the City Treasurer of the City of Everett the sum of Twenty-five Dollars (425.00) for the first year certificate, and Ten Dollars ( 10.00 ) for each consecutive year thereafter; PROVIDED, all certificates issued under this Ordinance shall expire on the 31st day of December of the year issued; AND PROVIDED FURT R, that no person, firm or corporation engaged in selling oil burners and equipment in the City of Everett shall be required to pay more than Twenty- five Dollars (025.00 ) in any year for each place of business maintained by such person, firm or corporation for the sale of oil burners or equipment . (b ) No installation permit , as provided for in Section 3 of this Ordinance, shall be issued by the Fire Chief of the City of Everett until applicant therefor shall first pay as a fee to the City Treasurer of the City of Everett Twenty- five Dollars ( 25.00 ) for the; first year 's certificate and Ten Dollars („410 .00) for each consecutive year thereafter. (c ) No certificate of inspection, as provided for in Section 3A of this Ordinance , shall be issued by the Fire Chief of the City of Everett, until the applicant therefor shall pay to the City Treasurer of the City of Everett the sum of One Dollar (: 1.00 ) . (d) All persons, firms or corporations holding a Certificate of Approval under the provisions of Ordinance No. 2719 shall not be required to secure a new Certificate of Approval until January 1 , 1946 . (e ) All persons, firms or corporation who have previously held a Certificate of Approval under the provisions of Ordinance No. 2719 shall be required to pay not more than Ten Dollars (410.00) for a Certificate of Approval for each con- secutive year commencing as of January 1, 1946. (f) A11 persons , firms or corporation making applica- tion for an Installation Permit or Certificate of Approval prior to December 31, 1945, shall be required to pay a sum equal to one-half of the fee required for the full year. Section 16: Wherever reference is made to authority by terra "Fire Chief" or "Chief of Fire Department , " it is the intent of this Ordinance to mean "Fire Chief of the City of Everett , or his duly authorized assistants. " (a ) The Fire Chief, or his duly authorized agents or assistants, shall have the right to enter upon the premises in which an oil burner has been, or is being installed at all reason- able hours to ascertain whether the provisions of this or any other ordinance in regard to oil burners and/or oil burning equip ment, have been complied with. -12-
