No approval shall be given to a person to supervise <br /> nursing care who is less than Twenty-one (21 ) years of age at the <br /> time of the application, or who is not of good moral character. <br /> All food shall be prepared, handlea and distributed in <br /> accordance with the rules and regulations of the health Department <br /> of the City of Everett. <br /> Three meals a day shall be served at regular intervals <br /> unless otherwise ordered by the attending physician. Special <br /> diets when ordered by the aatiends physician must be provided in <br /> accordance with the doctorls recommendation. <br /> All fooa when served to either bed or ambulatory patient. <br /> must oe served warm and in a sanitary and attractive manner. <br /> Table linens shall be freshly laundered. Paper napkins <br /> are recom_ ended. If cloth napkins are used, they shall be <br /> freshly laundered. <br /> A record of each patient must be kept, giving: Name, <br /> address, age, name and address of nearest relative, name of doctor <br /> to be called in case of an emergency, the date of admission and <br /> discharge, and the name and address of person or agency placing <br /> the patient in the home. <br /> vionth.ly reports shall be made to the City Hen lth Depart- <br /> ment stating the names of the patients admitted, patients ais- <br /> charged, and patients who have died during the period. In the <br /> event of death, the cause of death shall be indicated. <br /> Section 7: Every place of refuge shall maintain a <br /> manually operated fire alarm or bell system placed and operated so <br /> as to be heard over the entire premises. A switch toonerate said <br /> fire alarm shall be located on each floor Including the basement <br /> floor. In the event the equipment cannot be purchased and is un- <br /> available, then the Fire Chief of the City of Everett may waive <br /> said requirement until such time as said fire alarm is available <br /> for Purchase . Each fire alarm installed in a Place of Refuge sh <br /> be installea under the supervision of the Fire Chief of the City o ' <br /> Everett and the 'Electrical Inspector for the City of Everett. <br /> Section 8: Any owner, operator or manager of such <br /> Place of Refuge, deeming any order of the City Council arbitrary <br /> or contrary to the law may demand and obtain, within Ten (10) <br /> days of request therefor, a formal order of denial or revocation. <br /> Such order shall set forth findings as to conditions on or about <br /> such premises which caused such denial or revocation of such <br /> license. <br /> Section 9: Any person, firm or corporation which <br /> shall operate ana maintain a Place of Refuge without having in <br /> force a license so to ao, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and <br /> upon conviction shall be fined any sum not exceeding Three Hundred <br /> Dollars O300.00) , or by im ,risonment in jail for a period not ex- <br /> ceeding Ninety (90) nays, or by both such fine and imprison:r!ent. <br /> Section 10: 1'hat Ordinance No. 2974 of the City of <br /> Everett, be, and the same is hereby repealed. <br /> -3- <br />
