<br />April 2022 Page 2 of 35 Jacobs Engineering Group <br /> <br />the upstream and downstream collection system functions without sanitary sewer overflows, while <br />achieving CSO compliance at SRO7 and SRO8 by the year 2027. <br />This amendment consists of detailed design and bidding period support services for Alternative 4, as <br />defined in Technical Memorandum, Task 270 – Alternatives Development and Analysis, prepared by <br />Jacobs (Consultant) in January 2022. The Project will generally consist of: <br /> <br />• A new 1.8 million gallon (MG) underground cast-in-place CSO storage tank, with associated new <br />electrical, instrumentation & controls, mechanical, and civil/structural work elements at the <br />City-owned property north of 36th Street and just south of the Everett Station Park and Ride Lot <br />B (parcel # 29052900201200). <br />• Modifications to its existing combined sewer (CS) system to include: <br />o Modifications to the existing 36th Street regulator structure that would provide a means <br />for diverting combined sewer flows to the new CSO tank. <br />o Modifications to the existing Pacific Regulator that would provide a means for diverting <br />combined sewer flows to a new approximately 48-inch diameter pipe along Pacific Ave. <br />• Installation of approximately 1,000 LF of sewer pipe along Pacific Avenue to increase sewer <br />capacity (install new parallel pipe or replace and upsize existing pipe). <br /> <br />2. ASSUMPTIONS FOR AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> <br />This scope of work is based on the following assumptions: <br />• This project includes a comprehensive detailed design effort; however, for bid assistance, the <br />Consultant will have a minor supporting role only. <br />• Budget for the project scope for detailed design through bidding is based on a project schedule <br />of 20 months, commencing with notice-to-proceed in November 2022. Bidding period support <br />services is subject to the level of effort requested by the City and budget allocated. <br />• Deliverables will be in electronic format, with exception of bid set documents. <br />• Meetings will be held virtually. <br />• The Consultant may shift budget between work tasks in order to adjust for differences in scope <br />or level of effort – planned versus actual with approval of City’s Project Manager. Consultant <br />will discuss any proposed budget adjustments with the City in advance. <br />• The City will provide certain documents including, but not limited to, the list in Section 3. <br />• The City’s CAD Standards will be used. <br />• Design and Standard Specifications and Details shall utilize: <br />o City of Everett’s Design and Construction Standards. <br />o The City’s master specifications and applicable additional provisions to the Standard <br />Specifications. <br />o Consultant standard specifications in 2004 CSI format. <br />o Additional design references as may be furnished by the City such as examples from <br />previous projects. <br />• All City-supplied information / references will be provided to the Consultant within two weeks of <br />Notice to Proceed on this Amendment.
