I <br /> City of Everett 00 21 13 - 5 <br /> Water Filter Plant Portal 4 Improvements WO# 3755 <br /> Bidders are advised to examine and to be thoroughly familiar with such <br /> requirements. No claim for additional compensation will be allowed that is based <br /> upon a lack of knowledge of these requirements or a failure to include adequate <br /> increases in such wages over the term of this Contract in the Bidder's Bid. <br /> 1-02.4(2) Subsurface Information <br /> If the City has made subsurface investigation of the site of the proposed Work, the <br /> boring log data and soil sample test data accumulated by the City will be made <br /> available for inspection by the Bidders. The boring logs and soil sample test data <br /> shall NOT be considered as part of the Contract. In addition, the City makes no <br /> representation or warranty expressed or implied that: <br /> 1. The Bidders' interpretations from the boring logs are correct, <br /> 2. Moisture conditions and indicated water tables will not vary from those <br /> found at the time the borings were made, and <br /> 3. The ground at the location of the borings has not been physically <br /> disturbed or altered after the boring was made. <br /> The City specifically makes no representations, guarantees, or warranties as to <br /> the condition, materials, or proportions of the materials between the specific <br /> borings regardless of any subsurface information the City may make available to <br /> the prospective Bidders. <br /> The boring log data and soil sample data, if any, are included in the bid documents. <br /> If there is a geotechnical report made by the City, Bidder may contact the Project <br /> Manager to arrange to view the geotechnical report. <br /> 1-02.5 Bid Form <br /> The City reserves the right to arrange the bid forms with alternates and additives, if such <br /> be to the advantage of the City. The Bidder shall bid on all alternates and additives set <br /> forth in the Bid Form unless otherwise specified. <br /> I 1-02.6 Preparation of Bid <br /> Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the City and found in the Contract <br /> Documents. All blank spaces in the Bid form shall be legibly filled in using a non-erasable <br /> medium. Do not qualify Bids, since this will automatically be cause for rejection of the Bid. <br /> A Bid will be rejected if the authorized Bid form furnished by the City is not used. <br /> Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work including, but <br /> not limited to, providing the materials, equipment, tools, plant and other facilities, and the <br /> management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary testing services. <br /> ' Bidders are warned against making erasures or alterations of any kind to the Bid Form, <br /> and bids that contain omissions, erasures, or irregularities of any kind may be rejected. <br /> No oral, telegraphic, electronic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. <br /> In the event that the product of a unit price and an estimated quantity does not equal the <br /> extended amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the correct product of the unit <br /> price and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the amount bid. If the sum of two <br /> or more items in a bidding schedule does not equal the total amounts quoted,the individual <br /> item amounts shall govern and the correct total shall be deemed to be the amount bid. <br /> I <br /> 00 21 13 - 5 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br /> I <br />
