City of Everett 01 11 00 - 1 <br /> ' Water Filter Plant Portal 4 Improvements WO#3755 <br /> SECTION 01 11 00 -SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> 1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> ' A. The Work specified for this contract consists of installation of a new medium <br /> voltage electrical cable delivering power to Portal 4 from the water filtration plant <br /> ' (WFP), improvements within the Portal 4 structure include replacement of <br /> electrical equipment, installation of new motorized actuators on three existing <br /> valves, HVAC, architectural, and building security improvements, replacement of <br /> a level sensing device, and covering a section of exposed open channel with <br /> fiberglass reinforced panels. Additional improvements include installation of <br /> isolation valves and valve vaults on three existing large diameter buried <br /> transmission lines and installation of a security fence around the structure. The <br /> work generally includes, but shall not be limited to the following: <br /> 1. Selective demolition of Portal 4 architectural fixtures, cleaning and selective <br /> coating of structural elements, panel caulking and sealing, removal of existing <br /> electric actuator. <br /> 2. Installation of security fencing and gates, site grading and backfill, remove and <br /> reinstall Ecoblocks. <br /> ' 3. Structural and architectural improvements. Replace architectural fixtures, install <br /> fiberglass reinforced panels over Portal 4 channel, and construct valve vaults on <br /> three transmission lines. <br /> 4. Installation of new HVAC ducts, exhaust fans, supply fans, and plenums. <br /> 5. Installation of new medium voltage electrical cable, replacement of select <br /> electrical equipment (transformers and panel boards), and instrumentation. <br /> Upgrades to security and the control system. <br /> ' 6. Installation of three of electric actuators on the existing butterfly valves within <br /> Portal 4. <br /> 7. Construction of three cast in place valve vaults and installation of isolation valves <br /> on buried transmission lines 2, 3, and 4. Installation of isolation valves includes <br /> cutting in or replacing sections of existing steel and concrete cylinder pipe and <br /> installing drain valves and piping. <br /> 1.2 CONTRACTOR'S USE OF SITE AND PREMISES <br /> A. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for protection and safekeeping of <br /> products under this Contract. <br /> ' B.
