SECTION 01 11 10 <br /> GEOTECHNICAL INFORMATION <br /> PART 1 GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SUMMARY <br /> A. This Section specifies geotechnical information for the Contract. <br /> 1.02 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. The following geotechnical document is provided as supplemental information to the <br /> Contract Documents and a copy of the report is included in the appendix to the Contract <br /> Documents: <br /> 1. "Geotechnical Report, Everett Water Filtration Plant Portal 4 Improvements, <br /> Snohomish County, Washington HWA, Project No. 2021-141-21, dated July 29, <br /> 2022. <br /> ' B. The geotechnical information is not intended to be the Owner's representations of <br /> geotechnical conditions, except for those conditions at the specific times and locations of <br /> the investigations. <br /> 1.03 GEOTECHNICAL INFORMATION USE <br /> ' A. The Contractor shall make its own interpretations, evaluations and conclusions as to the <br /> nature of the geotechnical materials and conditions to determine the difficulties <br /> performing the Work affected by the geotechnical conditions. <br /> ' B. In making interpretations, evaluations, and conclusions, use the geotechnical documents <br /> and the available geotechnical information in a manner that includes a reasonable <br /> interpretation after consulting with a registered professional civil engineer with <br /> ' geotechnical expertise or a certified engineering geologist or a certified engineering <br /> hydrogeologist with applicable expertise. <br /> C. The Contractor may also, at no additional cost to the Owner, conduct other investigations <br /> ' and tests it deems appropriate.Any additional Contractor obtained investigation and test <br /> information shall be shared with the Owner. <br /> D. The Owner does not warrant and specifically disclaims responsibility for the interpretation <br /> by the Contractor of such geotechnical information. The Contractor shall make its own <br /> interpretations, deductions, and conclusions as to the nature of the materials to be <br /> ' excavated, the difficulties of making and maintaining the required excavations, and the <br /> difficulties of doing other work affected by geotechnical conditions, including dewatering <br /> and installing temporary shoring, and accept full responsibility,thereof. <br /> ' PART 2 NOT USED <br /> PART 3 NOT USED <br /> ' END OF SECTION <br /> Everett WFP Portal 4 Improvements Geotechnical Information <br /> Project No. 156839 01 11 10-1 <br />
