The intent of this provision is to ensure that employees receive not more than one hundred and four(104) <br /> hours of holiday pay per year. <br /> Section 3: <br /> An employee must request their floating holiday at least ten(10)working days in advance. The <br /> department head must accept or reject the date within five(5)working days of the request. Once <br /> accepted,it shall become a fixed holiday for that employee for that year. If the employee must work on <br /> that date at the City's request,they will be paid the same as work on any other holiday. <br /> Section 4: <br /> All employees covered by this Agreement who work any day that is designated as a holiday by this <br /> Agreement,shall be paid for such overtime work or work on such holiday,at an overtime rate based upon <br /> one-and-one-half times the employee's regular hourly rate which shall be determined by dividing the <br /> annual salary by the actual number of working hours for any given calendar year and this payment shall <br /> be in addition to the employee's holiday pay. <br /> 26 <br />
