(MGI)is pleased to submit this report describing the results of our geotechnical engineering evaluation of the improvements to the Everett Contractor Yard located at 2320 Railway Avenue in Everett, Washington. This report has been prepared for the exclusive use of the Interwest Construction Co. (Interwest), and their consultants,for specific application to this project,in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering practice. 1.0 SITE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project site consists of an irregularly-shaped,13.18-acre parcel,located at 2320 Railway Avenue, towards the northeast corner of Everett,Washington, as shown on the enclosed Topographic and Location Map (Figure 1). The project area is situated within an industrial area west of the divergence between the Snohomish River and the Steamboat Slough, along the east side of the BNSF Railroad. The site is bound on the south by the Penske Truck Leasing site and on the east by the ROW for Railway Ave. The subject property is currently being utilized by Interwest as a service yard for its operations, containing a gravel surfacing, and being occupied by heavy equipment, stockpiles of soils,construction debris and topsoil,storage containers,pallets of building materials and piping for the adjacent Railway Avenue improvements. Improvement plans involve the construction of a new scale house toward the southeast corner of the project area, a concrete wet pond to the northeast corner of the project area, and the Page 1 of 16
