. •'' <br /> Y <br /> el/PA /0 Ill I <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2279-98 <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to arrests for violation of court orders, adding a new Chapter <br /> and Sections 1 through 6 to Title 10 of the Everett Municipal Code. <br /> WHEREAS, it is the City's goal to hold people immediately accountable to the terms of <br /> their pretrial release and post-conviction conditions of suspension or deferral of sentence; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the City's goal to strengthen the focus on safety for its citizens ; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the City's goal to facilitate court supervision of persons who are on <br /> probation therein; and <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance is designed to achieve the aforementioned goals; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Orders - Conditions -Rearrest <br /> Judges and judges pro tempore may issue written orders to criminal <br /> defendants describing the conditions of their pretrial release or the post- <br /> conviction conditions of suspension or deferral of their sentences, warning <br /> the defendants of the consequences of violating a condition of the order, <br /> and authorizing rearrest of the defendant if he or she violates a condition <br /> of the order. <br /> 1 <br />
