AY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of Everett entitled as follows: "AN ORDIN.!FCE relating to vehicles end the opera- tion thereof upon the public streets and other public pieces of the City of Everett ; providing for vehicle equipment , limiting and restricting certain sections of the public streets end other public places of the City of Everett ; prescribing rules of the road for vehicles operating on public streets or other places of the City of Everett ; defining offences and fixing penalties ; repealing certain ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance ; savin certain acts, performed and declaring an emergency, " by adding thereto Six ( 6) sections to be known as Sections48, 49 , 50 , 51 , 52 and 53, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of Everett , entitled as above set forth, be amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 48, which section shall read as follows: Section 48: Operator' s License . (a ) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle on any of the streets or highways of the City of Everett , without first obtaining and having in force a "Motor Vehicle Operator's License" as provided by law in the State of ashincgton. (b) No person shall employ any person to operate a motor vehicle who is not licensea as provided by law in the State of Washington. (c) No person shall authorize or knowingly permit a motor vehicle owned by him or under his control to be driven by any person who has no legal right to do so, or in violation of law. Section 2: That said Ordinance No. 2734 be amended by addingthereto a section to be known as Section 49 , which section shall read as follows: Section 49: 'vehicle Licenses. No person shell park, drive or operate e motor vehicle on any street within the City of Everett without having a license therefor as provided by law. The License issued by the Secretary of State or Director of Licenses of the State of Washington for such vehicle shall be carried thereon, and the person in charge of such vehicle shall permit an inspection of such license upon (:.errand of any peace officer.
