.7: , <br /> ments hereof, since they will be governed by military or naval order, and the control <br /> of aeronautical lighting and the lirhti_ng of vessels, harbors and watersrys being <br /> under the control of the United States Civil Aeronautics Administration and the <br /> United Stares Navy are hereby e-nressly exomr:ted from all the requirements hereof since <br /> such regulations will be made through authority of the appropriate enforcement agencies <br /> of the United Stated and the United States iTavy. <br /> Section 71- Vehicles and Pedestrians. <br /> 1. General Restrictions. Su:, ect to all the exceptions hereinafter provided, <br /> d.urin.g �periodc and in areas of air raid alarm regardless of whether it is day or <br /> night, 11 persbas who are in control of any vehicle, street car, railroad, `::-.rain, <br /> ship, boat, or anin .l shall forthwith coraLp1 , with the requirements of Section III <br /> hereof. (when applicable), and. shall also can;ly with the following requirements; <br /> (a) .11 vehicles on any highway, street, road or throughfare shall stop and <br /> park in a position parallel with and as near as practicable to the nearest outer <br /> ed.^e or curb of the highway, street, road or thoroughfare or the shoulder thereof, <br /> so as to place the vehicle off the main traveled portion thereof. <br /> (b) Buses shall stop at nearest loading points or other safe and convenient <br /> location. Reflector buttons or plates shall be affixed to both ends of such buses <br /> in such a manner that the prestence of any bus will be clearly indicated to other <br /> traffic under normal blackout conditions. <br /> (d) `iovement of ships and boats and their personnel shall be governed by re- <br /> gulations or ders issued by the United States Navy. <br /> (e) ersons in control of vehicles drawn by horses or other animals shall un- <br /> hitch the animal from the vehicle and shall securily tether the animal to fixed <br /> object if one is available, or the vhhicle itself. <br /> (f) r'erso-ns in charge of any ridden o$` herded animals shall tether or enclose <br /> such animals so far as Practical to prevent them from running at large during any <br /> period and in any area of air raid alarm. <br /> (g) -Notwithstanding the foregoing, provisions no Vehicle, bus, train, or any <br /> anim_.l shall be left standing in any crossing, intersection or junction of any street <br /> road, or highway, or any position which would block traffic or interfere with free <br /> 7 <br />
