February 8, 2023 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 8, 2023, <br />President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Vogeli, <br />Zarlingo, Tuohy, and Stonecipher were present. Council Member Schwab was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Fosse acknowledged the original inhabitants of <br />this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the February 1, 2023, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin spoke about her trip to Olympia to meet with State Representatives. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin invited Fire Chief Dave DeMarco to introduce eight new firefighters: Elizabeth <br />Guise, Tucker Williams, Trevor Zanella, Trevor Greenhaw, Marcus Lenzner, Jozef Mendoza, Henry <br />Moore, and Joshua Tcheng. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />There were five (5) members of the public who wished to speak: <br /> <br />• Bryce Nikel – ideas for disability access <br />• Tim Carroll – Everett Transit <br />• Elizabeth Chamberlin – Everett Transit <br />• Kara McKiearnan – Everett Transit <br />• Steve Oss- Everett Transit <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin left at 6:48 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Council comments were provided by council members, and they all welcomed the new <br />firefighters. <br />
