PARKING AREA VENTILATION SYSTEMS: <br />PARKING AREA MAKE UP AIR UNITS (EXISTING UNITS MAU-01 THROUGH MAU-06). <br />A. EMERGENCY SAFETY/LIMIT CONTROLS <br />1. VENTILATION UNIT INCLUDES FACTORY INSTALLED SAFETY DEVICES INCLUDING <br />NATURAL GAS, HIGH- AND LOW-PRESSURE CUTOUT SWITCHES, AND ELECTRICAL PHASE <br />MONITOR. (HEATING SYSTEMS ARE EXISTING PROJECT SCOPE IS FOR THE ADDITION OF <br />CO/NO2 SYSTEMS ONLY.) <br />B. SUPPLY AIR FLOW CONTROL <br />1. UNITS SHALL RUN CONTINUOUSLY, 24/71365. <br />2. UNDER NORMAL MODE FAN SPEED IS TO BE SET TO SUPPLY 6,000 CFM FROM EACH <br />UNIT TO THE SPACE. <br />3. UNITS HAVE A FACTORY PACKAGED TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM. <br />a. EXISTING FACTORY PACKAGED CONTROLS CONTROL ALL COMPONENTS ON <br />MAU INCLUDING GAS BURNER, SUPPLY FAN, <br />C. EXHAUST FAN CONTROL. (EXISTING UNITS EF-01 TO EF-04) <br />1, SPACE EXHAUST FANS ARE TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY, 24/7/365. <br />a. EACH EXHAUST FANS' SPEED SHALL BE SET TO EXHAUST 9,000 CFM UNDER <br />NORMAL OPERATION. <br />b. UPON CALL FOR ACTIVATION OF THE EXHAUST FANS THEIR INDIVIDUAL <br />ISOLATION DAMPERS ARE TO BE MOVED TO THEIR OPEN POSITION. <br />C. UPON PROOF THAT THE DAMPERS ARE FULLY OPEN WITH DAMPER END <br />SWITCHES EACH EXHAUST FAN IS THEN TO BE ACTIVATED. <br />d. DEACTIVATION OF EXHAUST FANS IS TO CLOSE INDIVIDUAL EXHAUST FANS <br />ISOLATION DAMPERS. <br />D. CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) / NITROGEN OXIDE (NO2) DETECTION (PROVIDE NEW DETECTION <br />SYSTEM). <br />1. SENSORS SHALL POWER AND CONTROL SIGNAL IS TO BE MONITORED BY A NEW <br />FACTORY PACKAGED CONTROL SYSTEM. <br />a. CONTROL SYSTEM SHALL BASED ON SENSOR INPUTS ACTIVATE AIR HANDLING <br />SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED EXHAUST FANS SERVING THE SPACE AS INDICATED <br />BY THE CONTROL SEQUENCE. <br />b. CONTROL SYSTEM IS TO BE PROVIDED TO ACCEPT ANALOG INPUTS FROM <br />SPACE SENSORS AND IS TO PROVIDE REQUIRED DIGITAL AND ANALOG OUTPUTS <br />TO HVAC EQUIPMENT. <br />2. WHEN CO SETPOINT OF 25 PPM OR NO2 SETPOINT OF 3 PPM IS EXCEEDED AT ANY <br />SENSOR IN THE ZONE ALL EXHAUST FANS ARE TO INCREASE TO 100% AIR FLOW. <br />3, MAU UNITS ARE TO INCREASE SUPPLY AIR TO THE SPACE TO 100% OUTSIDE IN AIR PURGE <br />MODE. <br />a. MAU'S ARE TO SUPPLY 6,000 CFM OF OUTSIDE AIR TO THE SPACE DURING NORMAL <br />OPERATION OF THE ROOF TOP UNITS. <br />b. MAU'S ARE TO SUPPLY 10,000 CFM OF OUTSIDE AIR TO THE SPACE DURING PURGE <br />OPERATION OF THE ROOF TOP UNIT. <br />C. EXHAUST FANS ARE TO EXHAUST 15,000 CFM EACH FROM THE SPACE. <br />4. AN ALARM INDICATION CO LEVELS ABOVE 100 PPM IS TO CALL FOR AN EVACUATION OF <br />THE SPACE. <br />5. MAU'S, THEIR CORRESPONDING EXHAUST FANS ARE TO REMAIN IN PURGE MODE AND <br />ALARMS ARE TO REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL THE CO/NO2 ALARM IS CLEARED. <br />FEB <br />p <br />- <br />FRO4n2mv.112 <br />E. CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) / NITROGEN OXIDE (NO2) DETECTION TESTING <br />1. INSPECT FIELD -ASSEMBLED COMPONENTS, EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION, AND ELECTRICAL <br />CONNECTIONS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S REQUIREMENTS. <br />2. TEST ALARM SET POINTS AND PROPER CALIBRATION OF THE (CO) CARBON MONOXIDE <br />AND NITRIC OXIDE (NO2) MONITORING SYSTEM WITH CALIBRATION GASES AND VERIFY <br />SEQUENCE OF OPERATION. <br />a. PREPARE A WRITTEN REPORT TO RECORD TEST PROCEDURES, TEST RESULTS <br />AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM. <br />b. REPORT IS TO COVER THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SYSTEM ACCESSORIES <br />RELAYS AND INTERLOCK BETWEEN MAKE UP AIR SYSTEMS AND EXHAUST <br />SYSTEMS. <br />G. CALIBRATION KITS SHOULD BE PROVIDED WITH THE MONITORING SYSTEM TO <br />CALIBRATE SENSORS. <br />3. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF NON-FUNCTIONING SYSTEM COMPONENTS SHALL BE <br />PROVIDED AS TO PROVIDE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL MONITORING SYSTEM. <br />4. DEMONSTRATION AND TRAINING UTILIZE A FACTORY -AUTHORIZED SERVICE <br />REPRESENTATIVE TO TRAIN OWNER'S MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL TO ADJUST, OPERATE, <br />TROUBLE SHOOT, CALIBRATE, AND MAINTAIN THE MONITORING SYSTEM IS TO BE <br />PROVIDED. <br />F. EMERGENCY SMOKE CONTROL <br />1. WHEN SMOKE IS DETECTED IN THE PARKING AREA ALL EXHAUST FANS AND THEIR <br />CORRESPONDING MAU(S) ARE TO BE DEACTIVATED AND THE MAU OUTSIDE AIR <br />DAMPERS ARE TO BE POSITIONED FULLY CLOSED. <br />2.
