1.2 - Proposed Construction Activities
Description of site development:
The final built-out, developed condition for the project site will consist of a driveway, a trail,
concrete pavement, lawn areas, a parking lot, a future building for restrooms, and a picnic
shelter. The west side of the parking lot, the restrooms building, and picnic shelter are to be
constructed by the City of Everett in a future phase.
Description of construction activities:
Construction activities include site preparation, TESC installation, grade and fill, trenching and
excavation for utility and building foundation installation, building construction, and asphalt and
concrete paving.
Description of site drainage including flow from and onto adjacent properties. Must be consistent
with Site Map in Appendix A:
During construction activities, the stormwater on-site will be routed to wattles in the southeast
corner of the site. Catch basin inlets will be protected. The site will also have a silt fence along
the perimeter to prevent sediment from leaving the site.
For the developed site, runoff from the access road, parking lot, and a portion of the concrete
pad sheet flows into four bioretention cells placed along the west side of the driveway. Runoff
from the park entrances will be collected in catch basin structures equipped with cartridge filters
to mitigate pollution generation areas. Runoff from the playground area situated at the northeast
corner of the site is collected through a network of underdrains that connect to the storm drain
conveyance system. Runoff from the landscaped areas to the east, the trail, and the eastern
portion of the concrete pad sheet flows into a trail-side ditch for collection into catch basins
placed at low points across the site. Flow from the bioretention cells, underdrains, and catch
basins is conveyed by a storm drain system that is routed to SDMH No. 10008 and discharged
via the city's storm outfall.
Description of final stabilization (example: extent of revegetation, paving, landscaping):
The site is to be predominantly occupied by a small building, new asphalt and concrete paving
for parking, a pedestrian path/trail, playground equipment, and landscaping on the rest of the
site.
Contaminated Site Information:
Proposed activities regarding contaminated soils or groundwater(example: on-site treatment
system, authorized sanitary sewer discharge):
No known existing contaminants at this time.
Page 16
