TEE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2730 of the City of Everett , entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2: Meat Shop and Delicatessen v,,tore License . (a ) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to open up, conduct , manage , operate or maintain a meat shop or delicatessen store without first having obtained a license therefor. L11 licenses shall be posted and displayed in a conspicuous place in said shop or store. (b) r:ny person desiring to obtain a meat shop or delicatessen store license shall make application to the City Clerk of the City of Everett on a form to be provided by him, setting forth the name of the ap licent, location by street and number of the premises to be so occupied end the maximum number of meat salesmen to be employed or to operate as such therein. Upon the filing of such application the same shall be referred to the i=eat Inspector who shall inspect the premises therein described and the fixture§ and equipment to be used therein. If the said premises, fixtures and equipment comply with the requirements of this ordinance and with all rules and regulations of the City of Everett relating to public health and sanitation said Neat Inspector shall so certify, and upon payment of the required license fee if the City Council determines that such applicant is entitled to a license it shall authorize and direct the City Clerk to issue such license. In the event that the City Council determines that said meat shop or delicatessen store does not comply with the provisions of this ordinance said application shall be rejected. (c ) Every meat shop license shall authorize the perso •, firm or corporation therein named to conduct and operate a whole sale or retail meat shop, or a shop for the manufacture of meat products, including the right to manufacture or sell cured meats in end upon the premises described in said license, and to sell in- spected meats until the 31st day of December, next following the issuance of such license, unless sooner revoked for cause , end said license may, at the discretion of the City Council, be transferred from one place to another or from one person, firm o ' corporation to another person, firm or corporation.
