The Assistant City Attorney and the Stenographer in th= City Attorney Department shall be appointed by the City Attorney The City Clerk shall be ex cfficio secretary of the Civil Service Commission. The Assistant and Special Examiners in the Civil Service Department shall be appointed by the Civil Service Commission. The Clerk of the Police Court Department shall be appointed by the Police Juetice . The officers, assistants and employees in the Depart- ment of Finance shell be appointed by the Commissioner of Finance . The officers, assistants and employees of the Depart- m :nt of Safety shall be appointed by the Commissioner of Safety. The officers, assistants end employees in the Depart- ment of Public " orks s-ell be appointed by the Commissioner of Public :'corks. :section 28: That on and after the 1st day of Janu- ary, 1944, the salaries and compensations to be paid to the officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett shall be as in this ordinance provided, and in addition thereto there shall be paid to such officers, assistants and deputies and employees of said City en additional sum designated as bonus salary as herein provided. ;section 29: CITY A.TT0I TEY DEP:AR`IrnTYT.
