City of Everett – Replacement of Reservoir 3 5 Scope of Services
j. Reservoir appurtenances and basis of design, including relevant codes and
standards.
k. The PDR will include a narrative about the upsizing of the Lauren Valve Connection
between the Berry Pipeline and Pipeline No. 2 from 24” to 30” diameter.
l. Prepare a Class 4 OPCC separated for each design phase.
4. Facilitate and attend a Preliminary Design Report Review Workshop to go over the PDR
and discuss comments provided by the City. The Consultant will prepare and provide a
comment log in Microsoft Excel format to track comment responses.
5. Upon receipt of City’s PDR review comments, the Consultant will incorporate agreed
upon comments and finalize PDR.
Client Responsibilities
1. Provide reviews, as needed, with one set of consolidated (conflict resolved) comments
within 10 business days of receiving the submittal documents.
2. Provide as-built information, geotechnical reports, and easements (if any) for Reservoir
No. 3, Evergreen Pump Station, AWWD Pump Station No. 1, AWWD Pump Station No.
2, and all pipelines going into and out of Reservoir No. 3 and associated pump stations
within the extents of the City’s property.
Assumptions
1. No condition assessment of the existing Reservoir 3 will be required as part of this effort.
2. The City’s hydraulic model used as part of the 2020 CWP is adequate to perform the
applicable hydraulic evaluations. Calibration is not required.
3. Existing geotechnical reports available for this site will be used for documenting
anticipated geotechnical conditions and preparing a Preliminary Geotechnical Design
Report (PGDR) to be included as an appendix to the PDR. This information will be
supplemented with additional explorations as defined in Task 700.
4. Figures and drawings prepared as part of PDR will be based on as-built information,
facility plans, and available GIS information including but not limited to aerial maps,
topographic survey, county appraisal district property lines, and FEMA floodplain maps.
5. The Hydraulic Analysis Workshop will be held via video conferencing (i.e., Cisco Webex
or Microsoft Teams) and is assumed to be two hours in length and will be attended by up
to four Consultant staff members.
6. The Stormwater Memorandum will require a site visit to determine as-built features of
the site. This will be attended by two HDR staff with 8 hours budgeted for travel and
attendance.
7.
