1 w ` • .. y ORDINANCE No. 9 62" ORDIEL-CE fixing and determining the number of the various officers, assistants, deputies end employees of the City of Everett ; prescribing the duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and employees, fixing their salaries and repealing Ordinance No. 2934 of the City of Everett, and all amendments thereto, end providing that this Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1943. TKjf, CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: The t beginning January 1, 1943, and on and after said date , the various officers, a.ssi stants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett, in addition to those providing for in the Charter of the City of Everett , shall be as in this Ordinance provided. Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENT. There shall be in the office of the City Attorney a Deputy City Attorney and a stenographer. Said Deputy City Attorney and said stenographer shall perform such duties as the City Attorney may authorize and direct. Section 3: CITY TILLL DEYARTI-ANT There shall be in the City Hall Department one janitor and one assistant janitor. Said janitor and said a ssi stant janitor shall perform the janitor work in connection with the City Hall. Section 4: LIBRARY DEPART'TENT. There shall be in the Library Depsrtraent the following named officers, as_istants and employees: One librarian; one First assistant librarian; one order and catolog assistant ; one acting children' s librarian; one acting children' s librarian (part tine ) ; one juvenile assi stant (pa rt time ) ; one clerk, (part time ) ; one general assistant; and one or more clerks, helpers, pages and menders (part tune ) . The librarian shall be in general charge end shall have supervision of the Library Department. The other officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office end as authorized end directed by the librarian.
