•• <br /> Police Court of the "ity of arett a-s a pene-lty fer and i. <br /> Full sat isi'a ct ieft-ef ouch Sri elat - <br /> `- � <br /> Section 9: Restrictions on parking as herein set- <br /> forth and the requirements contained herein for the deposit of <br /> coins in parking meters shall not be effective on Sundays and <br /> the following holidays: <br /> January 1st, July 4th, First Monday in September, <br /> December 25th, and the day designated and set <br /> aside by the President of the Lnited States es <br /> Thanksgiving Day. <br /> Section 10: It shall be unlawful and in violation <br /> of the provisions of t.@n�ordinance for any unauthorized per- <br /> son to deface, injure, am er with or wilfu: ly break, des- <br /> troy or impair the usefulness of any parking meter installed <br /> or maintained under the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> Section 11: It shall be unlawful and in viol= tion <br /> of the provisions of this ordinance to deposit or cause to be <br /> deposited in any parking meter any slug , device or substitute <br /> for lawful coin of the United States. <br /> Section 12: The coins required to be deposited in <br /> parking meters, as provided herein, are hereby levied and <br /> assessed as fees to provide for the proper regulation and <br /> control of traffic upon the public streets, and to cover the <br /> cost of supervision, installation, inspection, operation <br /> maintenance, control and use of the parking spaces and parking <br /> neters described herein, and also the cost of supervising and <br /> regulating the parking of vehicles in the parking rater zones <br /> created hereby. <br /> Section 13: The C- ' ` Y <br /> shall designate some person or persons to make regular <br /> collections of the money deposited in said parking meters. <br /> It shall be the duty of such person or persons so designated <br /> to pick up the sealed coin boxes or cylinders containing the <br /> coins deposited in the meter and deliver such coin bo Tr <br /> esasurer <br /> s or <br /> cylinders with the seal thereon unbroken to the City <br /> of the City of verett. It shall be the duty of said City <br /> Treasurer or one of his deputies to break the seals and <br /> count the funds and deposit the same in a special <br /> peci l fund whic ich which <br /> "Parking <br /> shall be designated as the 'Teter , Council <br /> fund shall be disbursed only on the order of the City <br /> of the City of Everett, evidenced <br /> tsyand resolution <br /> expensesoinvolved in <br /> motion <br /> for the purposes of defraying <br /> inspection, regulation, installation, � o <br /> operation,� describedcontol <br /> - nd use of the parking spaces and parkingthe parking <br /> herein, and involved in checking up and regulating <br /> of vehicles in the parkihaseetrre��l°cerient created <br /> repairro�Tservic- <br /> , in- <br /> cluding the rental, purchase, <br /> ing of said parking meters, together with the cost of street <br /> and sidewalk painting of parking areas and the erection of <br /> a,)propriate street and curb signs as provided for herein. <br />
