Full sat isi'a ct ieft-ef ouch Sri elat - `- � Section 9: Restrictions on parking as herein set- forth and the requirements contained herein for the deposit of coins in parking meters shall not be effective on Sundays and the following holidays: January 1st, July 4th, First Monday in September, December 25th, and the day designated and set aside by the President of the Lnited States es Thanksgiving Day. Section 10: It shall be unlawful and in violation of the provisions of t.@n�ordinance for any unauthorized per- son to deface, injure, am er with or wilfu: ly break, des- troy or impair the usefulness of any parking meter installed or maintained under the provisions of this ordinance. Section 11: It shall be unlawful and in viol= tion of the provisions of this ordinance to deposit or cause to be deposited in any parking meter any slug , device or substitute for lawful coin of the United States. Section 12: The coins required to be deposited in parking meters, as provided herein, are hereby levied and assessed as fees to provide for the proper regulation and control of traffic upon the public streets, and to cover the cost of supervision, installation, inspection, operation maintenance, control and use of the parking spaces and parking neters described herein, and also the cost of supervising and regulating the parking of vehicles in the parking rater zones created hereby. Section 13: The C- ' ` Y shall designate some person or persons to make regular collections of the money deposited in said parking meters. It shall be the duty of such person or persons so designated to pick up the sealed coin boxes or cylinders containing the coins deposited in the meter and deliver such coin bo Tr esasurer s or cylinders with the seal thereon unbroken to the City of the City of verett.
