DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS , <br /> The last drainage structure in a stormwater only system prior to connection to any facility which may <br /> contain sanitary sewage shall include a gas trap in accordance with Standard Drawing 413 or 414. <br /> No connections of roof drains to side sewers or laterals shall be allowed without prior approval of the <br /> Director.Downspouts may be discharged to the ground surface,using splash blocks or other means. <br /> Stormwater runoff shall not be connected directly to sanitary side sewers. Projects that discharge <br /> stormwater to the combined sewer system shall connect to the sewer main using a separate storm side <br /> sewer. Stormwater runoff shall be discharged to a floatable material separator with gas trap,per Standard <br /> Drawing 413 or 414,prior to the connection to the combined system sewer main. <br /> 6-10.2(2) _ COMBINED SEWER CONVEYANCE SIZING <br /> New combined sewer mains will be sized by Public Woks staff based on internal design standards and <br /> modeling methodologies. <br /> Stormwater only elements of the combined sewer system shall be designed in accordance with Section 4 <br /> 2.2 <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> SANITARY SEWERS 6-17 <br />
