Locations shall be approved by the Fire Code Official (NFPA 13, 2013 edition, section <br />8.16.4.1.3). <br />70. The location of Fire Department connections (FDC) and post indicator valves (PIV) shall be determined by <br />the Fire Code Official. If immediate outside man door access is available to the sprinkler valves (risers), a <br />PIV will not be required. <br />Location on plans is acceptable. <br />71. Service Stations - A fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:20-B:C shall be provided and so <br />located that it will not be more than 75 feet from any pump, dispenser or fill -pipe opening. 2015 IFC, <br />Section 2305.5. <br />75. IFC 2303.2 Emergency disconnect switches. An approved, clearly identified and readily accessible <br />emergency disconnect switch shall be provided at an approved location, to stop the transfer of fuel to the <br />fuel dispensers in the event of a fuel spill or other emergency. An emergency disconnect switch for <br />exterior fuel dispensers shall be located within 100 feet (30 480 mm) of, but not less than 20 feet (6096 <br />mm) from, the fuel dispensers. For interior fuel -dispensing operations, the emergency disconnect switch <br />shall be installed at an approved location. Such devices shall be distinctly labeled as: EMERGENCY FUEL <br />SHUTOFF. However, <br />the existing District facilities in the local area may require upgrading. The developer is required to supply the <br />District with suitable locations/easements on all parcels where electrical facilities must be installed to serve <br />the proposed development. It is unlikely that easements will be granted on District -owned property, or <br />consents granted within District transmission line corridors. Existing PUD facilities may need relocations or <br />modifications at the developer's expense. Any relocation, alteration or removal of District facilities to <br />accommodate this project shall be at the expense of the project developer, and must be coordinated with <br />the PUD in advance of final design.
