Separate the garage floor from the lobby area with vertical 3-hour, non- <br /> combustible construction, effectively creating a portion of the Type V-A <br /> construction on the garage level and providing for a separation between Type V- <br /> A and Type I-A construction at the garage level. <br /> b. Reclassify the garage as an enclosed parking garage (Section 406.6) and change <br /> the type of construction for the whole building to Type V-A (as long as the <br /> allowable area calculations will allow the revision).
