Where fire lanes are adjacent to buildings or structures and when approved or directed by the <br /> Fire Code Official, the signs may be placed on the face of the building or structure. <br /> f. Where directed by the Fire Code Official, specific areas shall be designated and those areas are to <br /> be marked with diagonal striping across the width of the fire lane. Diagonal marking shall be used in <br /> conjunction with painted curbs and/or edge striping and shall run at an angle of 30 to 60 degrees <br /> from one side to the other.
