Where fire lanes are adjacent to buildings or structures and when approved or directed by the Fire Code Official, the signs may be placed on the face of the building or structure. f. Where directed by the Fire Code Official, specific areas shall be designated and those areas are to be marked with diagonal striping across the width of the fire lane. Diagonal marking shall be used in conjunction with painted curbs and/or edge striping and shall run at an angle of 30 to 60 degrees from one side to the other.
