• 40
15.New Detail 1-1 on page 5 shows the new construction and how the trusses sit.It is my understanding that the
sheathing on the truss only needs to be above the braced wall, which is outside the existing trusses and will not be
impeded.
16.It has been my experience that existing walls that are not altered,as is in this project, are accepted to act as
braced wall panels. The existing North wall is not altered and provides braced wall panels for Wall Line D. The
plate height for the new garage area is 10'and the trusses are standard bottom chord trusses in which the sheathing
will cover.I do not see a note on Table R602.10.3(3)for any adjustment regarding roof sheathing. The interior
sheathing has always been noted on page 3.
17. I had Wall Line"D"as its own,but if we incorporate the existing braced wall panels then we have 9'of braced
wall panel here and using interpolation, only 5.3'is required.
18.You may be looking at an old version,we have since increased the width of the new garage to accommodate
this.We now have a 24"panel on that side.
Please let me know if anything else need to be clarified or changed.
Thank you.
Jeff Harlan
jeffaOthreenaildeisgns.com
