Below are our <br /> responses to the structural comments. All changes to the drawings due to a plan check comment have <br /> been clouded on the drawings. <br /> * * * * * <br /> STRUCTURAL REVIEW <br /> General: <br /> l. Structural and geotechnical special inspections are required for this project.A statement on <br /> special inspections is provided in Note 13 "Special Inspection" of the Structural General Notes on <br /> Sheet S1.0. The statement shall include a table listing each type of special inspection and shall <br /> specify the extent of each inspection(e.g.,continuous,periodic)per IBC Section 1704.3.1. The <br /> table shall include special requirements for seismic and wind resisting systems as required by IBC <br /> Sections 1704.3.2 and 1704.3.3, respectively. See IBC Sections 107.1, 1704.2.3 and 1704.3. <br /> The General Notes have been updated to include the table specified above. <br /> 2. Note 15 "Concrete" of the Structural General Notes on Sheet S1.0 specifies a concrete strength <br /> less than 4,500 psi. The project appears to include concrete elements that are exposed to freeze- <br /> thaw cycles,and qualify as Class F2 concrete per ACI 318-14 Table 19.3.1.1. Per ACI 318-14 <br /> Table 19.3.2.1,the minimum concrete strengths for Class F2 concrete is 4,500 psi. The minimum <br /> concrete strength on Sheet S1.0 should be revised as required.
