• • <br /> 6. The project requires a whole house ventilation system per IRC Section R303.4. Show the location on the <br /> plans;the fan should not be located inside a closed room. Specify the performance requirements per <br /> Section M1505.4. <br /> Structural: <br /> 7. The proposed project includes structural work. Structural drawing should be submitted that include <br /> framing and foundation plans, sections, details, construction schedules, fastening schedules, materials <br /> requirements, general notes, special inspection requirements, etc. The drawings should substantiate <br /> compliance with the prescriptive requirements of the IRC. See IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. <br /> 8. A general fastener schedule should be provided per IRC Table R602.3(1). Providing a reference to this <br /> table in the drawings does not satisfy this requirement. In addition, the make and model of proprietary <br /> hardware should be specified where used for connections. <br /> 9. Details for the construction of the new walls should be included. The details should specify connections <br /> for the top and bottom framing plates to the existing structure. See IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. <br /> 10. The locations of all braced walls should be shown in the construction plans. Details for the braced wall <br /> construction should be included. The braced wall design should comply with the requirement of IRC <br /> Section R602.10. See IRC Section R106.1.3. <br /> 11. The project appears intended to include prefabricated roof trusses. See IRC Section R802.10. The <br /> following comments should be addressed: <br /> a. The design criteria for the trusses should be specified in the drawings. See Table R301.2(1) and EMC <br /> Section 16.01.010(J). <br /> b. The drawings should include a note specifying the following: <br /> i. The trusses should be designed by a professional engineer licensed in the state of Washington. <br /> ii. The truss construction drawings and calculations should bear the seal and signature of the engineer <br /> performing the design. <br /> iii. The truss design should be reviewed for conformance with the approved construction drawings <br /> and the referenced building codes, and approved for construction by the designer-of-record for the <br /> approved drawings, prior to fabrication and erection. <br /> Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been <br /> submitted.
