ORDINANCE NO. EVERETT WASH I NGTON An Ordinance creating a special construction project entitled "Everett Performing Art Center Building Envelope Improvement Project", fund 342, program 039, to accumulate design costs for the project. WHEREAS, A. The City Council recognizes the need to repair structural damage to the exterior concrete and stucco walls of the Everett Performing Arts Center. B. The City Council recognizes the need to install expansion joints in the concrete walls and repair stucco walls and metal flashing around windows. C. The City Council recognizes the need to repaint and reseal the entire building following repairs to properly protect the newly exposed exterior surfaces from potential damage. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A special construction project is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 039, and shall be entitled "Everett Performing Art Center Building Envelope Improvement Project" to accumulate all design costs for the project. Section 2. Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 342, Program 039 for the design, architectural and engineering fees for this project. Section 3. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Director, under the direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. Section 4. The sum of $93,125.00 is hereby appropriated to Fund 342, Program 039, "Everett Performing Art Center Building Envelope Improvement Project as follows: A. Use of Funds Design $93,125.00 Total $93,125.00 B. Source of Funds CIP (1) $93,125.00 Total $93,125.00
