ORDINJU\TCE No. AN OTDINITTCE amending Sections 1, 2 , 9 and 11 of Ordinance No. 2613, entitled as follows: "IN ORDINANCE relating to , and providing for, the licensing and regulation of the business or occupation of carrying on and conducting Dance Cafes and Restaurants permitting dancing or entertainment in the City of Ever•e ct , levying an annual license fee , excise or occupation tax for revenue upon the same, establishing zones for the location thereof, prescribing the possession and sale of intoxicating beverages therein and the suspension or revocation of any such license, imposing penalties for the violation thereof, and declaring an emergency, " TIU CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDi IN: Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2613 entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1 : In this ordinance a "Dance Cafe" means any establishment where food and beer or wine are habitually furnished to the public and where dancing or other like enter- tainment is a feature of diversion and amusement therein, and "Dance Restaurant" means any establishment where food is habitually furnished to the public and where dancing or other like entertainment is a feature of diversion and amusement therein, End where no beer or wine is furnished or consumed therein; provided, the provisions of this ordinance shall not be construed to include a restaurant where dancing or other entertainment is not permitted. Section 2: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2613, entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2 : There are hereby levied and shall be collected license fees, excise or occupation taxes against the persons, associations, copartnerships or corporations operating a "Dance Cafe" or"Dance Restaurant" permitting dancing or other entertainment, on account of their business activities, amounts hereinafter fixed as follows: (a) Upon every person, association, copartnership or corporation within the City of Everett engaged in the business or occupation of carrying on or conducting a dance cafe as in this ordinance defined a fee or tax of 150 .00 per annum.
