• ORDINANCE No. Vy3, AN ORDINANCE fixing tnd determining the number of the various officers , assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Lverett; prescribing the duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and employees, fixing their salaries and repealing Ordinance No. 2840 of the City of Everett, and a l amendments thereto and providing that this Ordinance shall take effect on January 1 , 1941 . TEE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That be{_nning January 1 , 1941, and on and after said date , the various officers, assistants , deputies and employees of the City of Everett, in addition to those pro- vided for in the Charter of the City of Everett , shall be as in this Ordinance provided . Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DE.PA.RTITE T. There shall be in the office of the City Attorney a Deputy City Attorney and a stenographer. Said Deputy City Attorney and said stenographer shall perform such duties as the City Attorney may authorize and direct Section 3 : CIT`r HALT, DEPART ENT. There shall be in the City Hall one janitor and one assistant janitor. Said janitor and said assistant janitor shall perform the janitor work in connection with the City Hall. Section 4: LIBRARY DEPART/TNT. There shall be in the Library Department the following named officers , assistants and employees: One (1) Librarian; One (1) r'ir st Assistant Librarian; Cne (1) Children' s Librarian; One (1) Cataloger; One (1) Desk Clerk; One (1) Senior Assistant (part tine ) ; One (1) or more Clerical Assistants (part tine ) ; One (1 ) or more Junior Assistants (part time ) ; One (1) or more Typists and Clerks (part tine ) , and One (1) or more other assistants (part tine ) . The Librarian shall be in general charge and shall hay= supervision of the Library Department . The other officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office end as authorized and directed by the Librarian.
