• DEPI.RT= OF FINANCE Section 5 . CITY C ERK DEPARTMENT. There shall be the following named deputies and assist- ants in the Office of the City Clerk, to-wit: One (1) Deputy City Clerk; One (1), Stenographer and Clerk, and One (1) or more Clerks (part time ) . It shell be the duty of such officers, deputies and assistants to perform the duties pertaining to the office of the City Clerk under the authority and direction of the City Clerk. Section 6 . CITY TREASURER DEPARTMEt'TT. There shall be the following named deputies and assist- ants in the office of the City Treasurer , to -wit : One (1) Deputy Treasurer; One (1) Assistant Deputy Treasurer; One (1) Water Cashier; One (1) Assistant -dater Cashier; One (1) Clerk and Bookkeeper, and One (1) or more Clerks (part time ) . It shall be the duty of such officers, deputies and assistants to perform the duties pertaining to the office of the City Treasurer as the City Treasurer shall authorize and direct. DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY. Section 7. HEALTH DEPARTTIE T. where shall be the following named officers and assist- ants in the Health Department , to-wit: One (1) Health Officer, (part time ) ; One (1) Deputy Health Officer (part time ) ; One (1) Milk Inspector; One (1) Assistant Sanitary Inspector (part tine ) ; One (1) bleat Inspector (part time ) and One (1) Stenographer (part time ) . It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants to perform the duties Pertaining to said department under the direction of the Health Officer and Commissioner of Safety. Section 8. POLICE DEi:-ARTfi, NT. There shall be the following named officers and assist- ants in the Police Department , to-wit: One (1) Chief of Police; One (1) Captain; One (1) Sergeant Inspector; Five (5) Sergeants; Two (2 ) Plain Clothes Yen; Twenty-one (21 ) First-class z'atrolmen; Two (2) Second-class Patrolmen; One (1) or more Third-class Patrolmen, being substitu - patrolmen; One (1) Police Latron; One (1) Jailer and Cook, and One (1) Stenographer (part tine ) . -9-
