;Dection 13: License DEPARTMENT: There shall be the following named officer in the License Department , to-wit : One ( 1 ) License Inspector. It shall be the duty of such officer to perform the duties indicated by the name of his employment , and such other duties as the Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. Section 14. POLICE COURT DEPART fl NT: There shall be in the Police Court Department the following named officer: One (1) Clerk of the Court , (part tine ) , who shall per- form the duties pertaining to his office . Sect ion 15. CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTI?ENT: There shall b e in the Civil Service Department the following named officer: One (1 ) Secretary (part tine ) , who shall perform the duties pertaining to his office . DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS Section 16. CITY ENGINEER R DE'ARTIT=TT: There shall be the following named officers, deputies, assistants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, to-wit : One (1) City Engineer (part time ) ; One (1) Principal Assistant City Engineer; One (1) Assistant Engineer: One (1) Transitman; One (1) Draftsman: One (1) Stenographer ; One (1) Abstract Clerk (part time ) ; One (1) or more Headciiainmen, (part time ) ; One (1) or more Rear Chairmen (part time ) ; One (1) or more Inspectors (part tine . Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties indicated by the name of their respective employment and such other duties as the City Engineer shall from time to tine authorize and direct. The City Engineer shall have the ri ht to employ the following named additional temporary employees with the consent of the Commissioner of Public „orks, and whenever there is work in his office for such employees, to-wit : Transitnen; Levelmen: Draftsmen and Computers; Rodmen; Chairmen; Jxemen and Inspectors. Such last named assistants and employees are to be employed only when the work in such office requires such employ- ment , and are not permanent employees in such office . -4-
