Evergreen Pump Station supplies <br />water through Reservoir 6 to high -elevation areas in Everett. An emergency <br />power generator will allow the city to continue providing drinking water to <br />Everett residents during extended periods of power outages. <br />Emergency generators are essential for both water and sewer facilities to avoid <br />pressure Toss and health advisories related to treatment and water delivery, <br />maintain critical elements of the wastewater treatment plant, and prevent <br />sewer overflows. <br />The city approved a Brand Name or Standardization Justification form for the <br />Cummins brand for emergency standby generators on November 1, 2021. <br />Cummins generators are currently in use at over 25 locations within the city. <br />City staff can perform maintenance needs on Cummins equipment. <br />To procure the Cummins generator efficiently, City staff identified Sourcewell <br />contract #092222-CMM. <br />Overview of the solicitation process <br />Sourcewell conducted a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Electrical Energy Power <br />Generation Equipment with Related Parts, Supplies, and Services.
