In the event a revision is required by the <br /> 2 Contracting Agency during field layout, either to correct errors in the notes or to <br /> 3 make minor revision noted in the ordinary progress of the work, field layout shall <br /> 4 be performed by the Contractor at the time. <br /> 5 All field layout and temporary pavement marking shall be completed during the <br /> 6 same shift as the striping is obliterated by grinding or paving unless otherwise <br /> 7 directed by the Engineer. <br /> 8 Permanent pavement marking shall not begin until the layout is approved by the <br /> 9 Contracting Agency. Such approval shall not relieve the Contractor of <br /> 10 responsibility for the accuracy of the field markings. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Payment <br /> 13 All costs associated with layout of temporary striping shall be included in the <br /> 14 associated bid items for pavement marking and shall be full pay for all labor, <br /> 15 equipment, materials, and supervision utilized to perform the Work specified for <br /> 16 layout and preliminary spotting of pavement markings, including any <br /> 17 resurveying, checking, correction of errors, replacement of missing or damaged <br /> 18 markings, and coordination efforts. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 8-22.3(2) Preparation of Roadway Surfaces <br /> 21 Section 8-22.3(2) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 22 (******) Apply materials to new HMA that is sufficiently cured according to the <br /> 23 manufacturer's recommendation.
