existed? -A4:It is correct that some loops are under the wearing course and are not clearly
visible. Where loops are shown in the plans, existing stubouts of adequate size will be
available to access the nearest junction box and existing loop detector cable for splicing exists
in each box. Where new loops are installed, such as the bicycle loops, a City signal technician
will identify the detector cable and pair for each loop on the existing detector cable to splice
to prior to loop splicing by the contractor. Many of the loops detector cables are 3 pair cables
and extra pairs exist to accommodate splicing of new loops and all loops detector cables will
be labeled prior to splicing. Install and splice per City Standard Drawing 805, 809, and 810,no
additional conduit work or detector cable will be required.
Q5 please provide buffer width; so we can calculate the 4-in crosshatch stripe between the
continuous 8-in line And continuous 4-in line. -A5: Please refer to the plan set for bike buffer
width dimensions. Generally, for this project you will find those between 2ft—3ft.
All other requirements of the plans and specifications remain in effect.
This addendum shall be attached to and made a part of the plans and specifications and shall be
acknowledged on the bidder's proposal.
Sincerely,
Gina Loring
Associate Engineer, Project Manager
Attachments: Addenduml - DrawingC6.pdf
Addenduml- BIKE LANE BUFFER DETAIL.pdf
Addenduml- FCNH 8-20.2(9-29.18)VIDEO DETECTION VIP.pdf
Addendum#1 2023 Pavement Maintenance Overlay-WO 3789 Page 3
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett,WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax(425)257-8882
